Explore stories behind the Foundling Hospital tokens in our new podcast series.

How can such tiny objects hold so much meaning? Discover personal stories, historical insights and creative responses – all inspired by the Foundling tokens.

Hear from writers, artists, care-experienced young people, historians and former pupils of the Foundling Hospital. Each chooses one token that speaks to them across a gap of over 250 years. Over eight episodes they share what they know, what they feel and what they imagine.

This series forms part of the Take this Token project, which also includes an online exhibition, Museum display, Smartify tour and publicly accessible database. You can also receive bonus content about the tokens by subscribing to our Substack newsletter.

Take this Token is supported by the Woven Foundation, previously the Artisa Foundation, and the Deborah Loeb Brice Foundation.
