See three contemporary works by Rachel Kneebone, Tamsin van Essen and Grayson Perry recently acquired by the Museum.

See up close three works by Rachel Kneebone, Tamsin van Essen and Grayson Perry, recently acquired by the Museum and on display as part of our permanent collection for the first time. These contemporary pieces bring new perspectives into dialogue with the Foundling story, exploring themes of care, memory, identity and belonging alongside the Museum’s historic collections.

Rachel Kneebone’s ceramic sculpture Through a Glass III, 2023 was originally part of our exhibition Self Made: Reshaping Identities and Tamsin van Essen’s Entangled Roots, 2023 was commissioned for the exhibition Finding Family.
