Discover how to wet felt in this creative half-term family workshop.

Taking inspiration from the vegetable gardens at the Foundling Hospital, create a nature scene through the magic of wet felting. At the end of the session, you can take your creation home with you to display!

This workshop will be delivered by trainees from Tracing Our Tales, our award-winning programme for young care leavers, alongside artist Phoebe Kaniewska.

There are two sessions running from 11am-1pm and 2-4pm. The workshop is suitable for 5-12 year-olds. Dress for mess!

What’s included with my ticket?

Led by a professional artist with all materials provided, all you have to do is bring yourselves! We advise dressing for a mess as this workshop will involve the use of glue. Tickets also include free entry to the Museum so you can explore at your leisure.

About Tracing Our Tales

Tracing Our Tales is our award-winning training programme for care-experienced young people aged 18-29. Supported by a dedicated team, trainees learn art or music skills in weekly sessions led by dynamic artists and musicians, to build a creative portfolio.

About Phoebe Kaniewska

Phoebe Kaniewska is a London-based multidisciplinary artist and facilitator. She delivers workshops and art practises in a variety of settings, including galleries, museums and hospitals, most recently at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, St George’s Hospital, Young V&A and the Foundling Museum. Her work is driven by British and Polish folklore, storytelling and participation.

Yes, booking is essential. We encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment as our workshops often sell out.

Yes, you must book an adult ticket and a child ticket to gain entry to the workshop. Adults are welcome to also get stuck into the activities.

No, the workshops start promptly at 11am and 2pm and run for the full two hours.

No, children must be accompanied by an adult, no child can be left unattended.

Of course. If you’re attending with an older child, please feel free to bring your baby along, either held or in a pram.
