Enjoy a lunchtime clarinet recital in our Picture Gallery from Lucia Porcedda.

We are delighted to welcome Italian clarinettist Lucia Porcedda back to the Foundling Museum as part of our Young Artists’ Platform programme. Lucia has won prizes at national and international competitions, including the YAMAHA Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship. She has played with major orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra and English National Ballet. Lucia was trialled for the associate principal clarinet position with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and as clarinettist at Southbank Sinfonia 2022/2023.

Our Young Artists’ Platform programme showcases exceptional musicians at the start of their musical career. In partnership with Philharmonia Orchestra, the programme provides monthly recital opportunities for their Philharmonia Instrumental Fellows.
