About Young Artists’ Platform

Our Young Artists’ Platform programme showcases exceptional musicians at the start of their musical career. In partnership with Philharmonia Orchestra, the programme provides monthly recital opportunities for their Philharmonia Instrumental Fellows.

Annabel is currently studying for her Master of Performance in Orchestral Artistry at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with professors Tim Gibbs and Sebastian Pennar, generously funded by the Eduard and Marianna Loeser Award. Since beginning her studies at the Guildhall, Annabel has worked with orchestras around the UK, including the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Philharmonia, and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Before coming to study in London, Annabel completed her undergraduate degree in Music at the University of Cambridge and enjoys drawing from her academic background to help inform her own performance practices today. While at Cambridge, she was Principal Double Bass of the Cambridge University Orchestra for the duration of her degree, and enjoyed taking up the role of President of the orchestra in her final year.
Annabel was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain for 5 years (2019-2023) and was Principal Double Bass of the Orchestra in her final two years. With the NYO, Annabel performed in venues including the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms, the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, and Konzerthaus Berlin.
