We offer free entry to primary and secondary schools for self-led visits, with downloadable resources to accompany your trip.

Booking a self-led visit means you can explore the Museum and the story of the Foundling Hospital in your own time, and choose your own itinerary.

Children are free whilst all additional adults are charged at our concessionary price of £9.50. You can choose to pay on arrival or request an invoice. Carers and support staff go free.

We recommend an adult to student ratio of:

  • 1:5 for under 5’s (1 adult per 5 children can visit for free)
  • 1:10 for 5-11 year-olds (1 adult per 10 children can visit for free)
  • 1:15 for 11-16 year-olds (1 adult per 15 children can visit for free)

Please remember that teachers and accompanying adults are responsible for their students for the duration of their self-led visit to the Foundling Museum and all students under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times. Please ensure that any requests from Museum staff concerning behaviour or noise levels are adhered to.

Please note we don’t currently offer facilitated school workshops.
