Joidy Blanco is an accomplished Venezuelan flautist, celebrated for her success in international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky International Competition and the Kobe International Flute Competition. She began her flute studies at age 8 in Caracas through the renowned “El Sistema” program and made her solo debut at 14 with the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra. Joidy furthered her education at prestigious institutions such as the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon, the Haute École de Musique in Geneva, and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, where she studied under renowned flautists and was honored as the “Most Outstanding Student” by Queen Sofía of Spain. She has performed as a soloist with major orchestras, including the Mariinsky Orchestra and the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, as well as the Rostov Philharmonic, showcasing her talent on international stages.
