Enjoy a lunchtime recital by violist Emily Clark, in the beautiful surroundings of the Picture Gallery.

We are delighted to welcome Philharmonia’s Viola Fellow, Emily Clark, to the Museum. Emily has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and is currently studying for her Masters in Orchestral Artistry at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

About Young Artists’ Platform

Our Young Artists’ Platform programme showcases exceptional musicians at the start of their musical career. In partnership with Philharmonia Orchestra, the programme provides monthly recital opportunities for their Philharmonia Instrumental Fellows.

About Emily Clark

Awarded the Rainer and Doreen Scholarship, Emily studied with Martin Outram at the Royal Academy of Music. During her time at the Academy, she was selected for the Elton John Global Exchange Programme and worked with Thomas Selditz at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Now under the tutelage of Matthew Jones, she is studying for her Masters in Orchestral Artistry at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as the Draper’s Scholar. Emily has played with major orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra and has participated in side-by-sides with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Kaleidoscope Collective. Emily is currently on trial for sub-principal viola with Royal Ballet Sinfonia.
