Arcangelo’s New Ensemblists return to the London Handel Festival with a new programme exploring music composed by Handel and his contemporaries for the illustrious musicians of Handel’s orchestra at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.
This concert highlights the dazzling range of repertoire composed for, and performed by, these young virtuoso musicians.
The London Handel Festival is the UK’s only full-time organisation dedicated to the performance and celebration of music by George Frideric Handel.
The Arcangelo New Ensemblists programme was founded to support the next generation of outstanding ensemble instrumentalists dedicated to period performance.
The ensemble comprises Director & harpsichordist Tom Foster, violinists Carmen Lavada Johnson-Pájaro and Leo Appel, violist Jaume Pueyo Solà, cellist Martin Egidi and bassoonist Francisco Javier Sánchez Castillo.
