Designed by students on Central Saint Martin’s BA in Culture, Criticism and Curation, Bits, Pieces & Belonging is a collaborative collage-making workshop inspired by the layered experiences of the children who lived at the Foundling Hospital and their formative years spent in the English countryside.
Through guided prompts, we will invite you to use collage to imagine and understand these early experiences of care, working with recycled and natural materials alongside archival imagery from the Foundling Museum’s collection. Together, we will create a shared artwork that evolves over the session, reflecting on how fragments of the past can connect us across time.
This workshop offers a gentle and supportive space for creativity, reflection, and collective storytelling to reflect on themes of memory, care, belonging, and separation.
This workshop is open to anyone aged 18 – 25, and requires no previous experience. It will last around 2 hours.
