Enjoy a lunchtime concert in our Picture Gallery from Will Kidner, Mills Williams Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music.

Sit back and relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Picture Gallery for an enchanting bassoon recital, as part of our Young Artists’ Platform.

The performance will last an hour, and is free with the price of admission.

About Young Artists’ Platform

Our Young Artists’ Platform programme showcases exceptional musicians at the start of their musical career. In partnership with Philharmonia Orchestra, the programme provides monthly recital opportunities for their Philharmonia Instrumental Fellows.

About Will Kidner

Will Kidner is a Mills Williams Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music, having completed with distinction his masters degree with professors Sarah Burnett and Joost Bosdijk, supported by the C H Scholarship and Munster Trust Award. Will is on trial for bassoon section leader with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, has performed with the BBC Symphony and Oxford Philharmonic through their pathway schemes and was selected for the Philharmonia Instrumental Fellowship and Chamber Orchestra of Europe Academy. He has been principal with the RCM Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms and Helsinki Music Festival and performed as principal with the German-Nordic Youth Orchestra at the Berlin Philharmonie and Kammermusiksaal. Whilst at Oxford University, he was awarded the Stuart Craig Award, Leask Music Scholarship, ISIS Ensemble Scholarships, and successfully auditioned for the Britten Shostakovich Festival Orchestra. Will was also the NYO principal bassoon from 2019-2021.
