Learn how to felt a natural scene inspired by the park near the Foundling Museum, in this hands-on family workshop. Explore the spaces the Foundlings might have imagined playing in, and make a craft masterpiece to take home and play with.
This workshop will be delivered by participants from our award-winning training programme, Tracing Our Tales, alongside artist Phoebe Kaniewska.
There are two sessions running from 11am-1pm and 2-4pm. The workshop is suitable for 5-12 year-olds.
What’s included with my ticket?
Led by a professional artist with all materials provided, all you have to do is bring yourselves! We advise dressing for a mess as this workshop will involve the use of glue. Tickets also include free entry to the Museum so you can explore at your leisure.
About Tracing Our Tales
Tracing Our Tales is our award-winning training programme for young care leavers aged 18-29. Supported by a dedicated team, trainees learn art or creative writing skills in weekly sessions led by dynamic artists and poets, to build a creative portfolio.
About Phoebe Kaniewska
Phoebe Kaniewska is a London-based multidisciplinary artist and facilitator. She delivers workshops and art practises in a variety of settings, including galleries, museums and hospitals, most recently Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, St George’s Hospital, Young V&A and the Foundling Museum. Phoebe is interested in creating and caring for spaces that support, excite and interact with communities and individuals alike, using art in its most cathartic and therapeutic forms. She often works with tactile, malleable materials like metal, wax and textiles. Her work is driven by British and Polish folklore, storytelling and participation.

Yes, booking is essential. We encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment as our workshops often sell out.
Yes, you must book an adult plus a child ticket to gain entry to the workshop. If there are more adults or children in your group you must also purchase an ‘additional adult’ or ‘additional child’ ticket. Adults are welcome to also get stuck into the activities.
No, the workshops start promptly at 11am and 2pm and run for the full two hours.
No, children must be accompanied by an adult, no child can be left unattended.
Of course. If you’re attending with an older child, please feel free to bring your baby along, either held or in a pram.
