The Foundling Museum features in new film from Heritage Lottery Fund

The Heritage Lottery Fund is today hosting a conference bringing together senior heritage and disability leaders to stimulate joined-up thinking, the results of which will help inform the Fund’s work in the future.

Prompted by the 20th anniversary of the Disability Discrimination Act, the Inclusive Heritage Conference will challenge change-makers to address the under-representation of disabled people in shaping, visiting and working within the heritage sector.

We are very pleased to be one of the organisations featured in a film shown to conference delegates, along with RSPB Minsmere in Suffolk, demonstrating that access goes beyond making physical adjustments and is achieved by ensuring all visitors are able to participate, whatever their requirements.

Conference delegates and Heritage Lottery Fund staff will be asked to pledge a specific action to develop inclusive heritage. The results will be published on the Fund’s website in December.
