1739 & 1741 Clubs

The 1739 & 1741 Clubs are an exclusive, highly-valued group of donors who provide the Museum with vital support.

The 1739 Club was established to recognise the role that our exhibitions play in delivering our mission and building on our success. Named after the year the Foundling Hospital was founded, the Club makes a powerful and strategic difference to our ability to develop an extraordinary exhibition programme. Funding provided allows the Museum to plan with confidence, leverage additional support, maximise creative opportunities and take risks to produce unique and thought-provoking displays. The 1741 Club was established to support the Foundling Museum’s unique work with children and young adults, making a crucial and strategic difference to the ways in which the Museum improves the life chances of vulnerable and marginalised young people. The Club’s ongoing support allows us to develop ambitious projects that have a deep and lasting impact on young people, due to the sustained nature of our involvement.

Membership of both clubs is an enjoyable way to support the Museum and connect with like-minded individuals. Members enjoy opportunities to meet artists and curators, discuss forthcoming initiatives with the Director and attend exclusive events.
