Young people aged 10 – 18 from the Royal Drawing School will be sketching at the Foundling Museum throughout their Summer term.
The Royal Drawing School is running both its Saturday Morning Drawing Club and Young Associates programme at the Foundling Museum, offering students the chance to hone their skills within our historic Collection and Creative Studio. Young people with an aptitude for drawing will be able to explore the story of the Foundling Hospital through artist-led sessions.
Students will draw from observation, with a focus on life drawing, still life and objects within the Museum and its surroundings. Through introduction to a range of historic and contemporary artists and by experimenting with professional artists’ materials, students will develop personal responses to the Foundling Museum.
The Foundling Museum Drawing Club (10 – 14 year olds) and Foundling Museum Young Associates programme (15 – 18 year olds) runs every Saturday until 3 July 2016. For more information, visit the Royal Drawing School’s website
