As part of our exhibition Quentin Blake: Gifted, we asked writers to set words to his images, reversing Blake’s usual process by getting the poets responding to his drawings.
In this interview, we chat with one of the writers, the hugely talented Sarah Adegbite, about her inspirations, working process, and involvement with our exhibition.
Opefoluwa Sarah Adegbite released her debut collection of poetry in 2018, challenging the social norms of society. She was the overall winner in the 2016 Young Poets Network August Challenge #1 and also the winner in the 2016 August Challenge #2.
For our exhibition, she was inspired to write by Blakes’s Children and Dogs no. 37.
