It’s been too long and we’ve missed you! We look forward to welcoming you back in to the museum from Friday 21 May.
Winter can feel like the longest of the seasons at the best of times, but this winter has been a particularly cold one without our visitors to bring light and warmth to our galleries. It has been a hard one for you all, and we sincerely hope it is the last lockdown we all experience.
From Friday 21 May we plan to open the doors once again, Friday to Sunday, and we have been busy while you’ve been away to make sure things are in tip-top shape for your return. Should restrictions change at any point, so will our plans, but what won’t change is our excitement to be able to welcome you back as soon as we safely can.
To give you the chance to see our exhibition The Covid Letters, featuring over 200 posters created by children from all over the UK, which opened to the public just before Lockdown 2, we have extended its run until Sunday 13 June.
Contactless payments will be in place in our enhanced shop, so you can take your visit home with you in the shape of our 96 page illustrated guidebook.
Importantly, it will still be a case of safety first. We will ensure strict observance of social distancing guidelines by operating timed ticketing (to limited the number of people in the building at any one time), using a one-way entry system through the museum, enhancing our hygiene, closing our cloakroom and asking you to wear a face coving if you are able.
The Foundling Museum will be open from 10:00-17:00, and entry will be by pre-booked timed ticket only.
*Please note. Should restrictions regarding opening change, in line with government guidance, all tickets will be fully refunded.
