Situated in the heart of Bloomsbury and set in an elegant, Georgian-style building, the Foundling Museum is a beautiful, unique wedding venue in central London.

The Museum can be exclusively yours for the most special day of your life. Take your vows in one of our stunning rooms, then relax and enjoy champagne in our historic interiors. From an intimate civil ceremony to a glamorous reception, the Museum offers tranquillity and splendour away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Our venue is a stylish choice for a London wedding or civil partnership, with its beautiful eighteenth-century interiors housing a wealth of artistic treasures. Ideal for both small or large weddings, our choice of rooms, both elegant and romantic, provide the perfect setting for your special day. Take your vows upstairs then descend the grand, sweeping staircase as a newly-wed couple. The Court Room is the ideal space for an intimate ceremony with sumptuous olive-green walls, Persian carpet and striking plaster ceiling. Alternatively, the grand Picture Gallery can accommodate larger ceremonies. With tall windows and filled with antique furnishings, a grand marble fireplace and large-scale paintings, the wood floored gallery is a remarkable space in which to say ‘I do’.

The Museum’s events team is delighted to assist you with all aspects of planning so you can make the most of our unusual wedding venue. We work closely with a carefully-selected list of approved suppliers from caterers, florists and production companies, to musicians and photographers, to create a unique and memorable occasion for you and your guests. We also offer a selection of packages designed to take the stress out of planning. Choose from an intimate reception or a sumptuous wedding breakfast from some of London’s award-winning caterers. We even offer lifetime membership for all couples who book their special day with us.

  • Thank you for helping to make our wedding on Saturday so memorable. It was everything we’d hoped for, and more, and we are totally indebted to the Foundling Museum for helping to make everyone feel so welcome and for making the evening go so smoothly. We had loads of positive comments from our guests about the venue and the organisation, which is entirely down to your team.

  • Our son was married at the Foundling Museum last August. The ceremony took place in the beautiful Picture Gallery, with live music in a serene atmosphere. The Museum staff were discreet but wonderfully efficient, and very pleasant. The catering was superb. A very memorable occasion!

  • We were married at the Foundling Museum in August and could not have been more delighted with every aspect of the day. The setting is simply beautiful, and with flowers the romance of the Picture Gallery and the Court Room comes fully alive. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout the process in all sorts of ways, suggesting an amazing florist and photographer making planning the day so much easier. We would unreservedly recommend the venue to anyone and were particularly pleased that our wedding could contribute to the charitable work of the Museum.

  • When we started to look for the perfect venue for our wedding, we had a clear picture in our minds of what we wanted: somewhere intimate and classically romantic, whilst at the same time interesting and unique. The Foundling Museum offered us all of these qualities. From the moment we stepped inside the Court Room on our first tour around the venue, we knew that we wanted to become husband and wife in that room.
