Child’s Play is a photographic project by artist Mark Neville, presenting photographs of children at play in diverse environments around the world. Play begins in childhood, but is essential for health and well-being throughout our lives. It can come in all shapes and sizes – from moments of free, spontaneous play, to sports teams, drama groups or joking with friends. What does play mean to you?
How to enter
- Post a photograph on Instagram that captures your idea of play and tell us about your image
- Tag @foundlingmuseum and use the hashtag #childsplaycomp (If you have a private account, send us your picture by a private message)
What can you win?
Artist Mark Neville will select three photographs that best capture a moment of play.
Each winner will received a signed copy of the limited-edition book Child’s Play, showcasing photographs on display in the exhibition, alongside essays on the history and importance of childhood play.
Competition closes Sunday 2 April 23:59. Winners will be announced on Monday 10 April.
