Discover how the Foundling Hospital has impacted on the lives of former pupils in this online talk.

Now I’m all alone. It’s me against the world

In this online talk, our Collections Manager, Alison Duke, explores questions of identity from the Foundling Voices oral history project which she coordinated. Using audio extracts from former pupils of the Foundling Hospital, the talk examines how these individuals feel their early life at the institution has impacted on their later lives and place in the world.

Can you help?
We hope you enjoyed this talk. Covid-19 has devastated our income from admissions, tours, events, retail and venue hire. As an independent charity, we are relying even more heavily on donations to deliver our exhibitions, events and creative work with disadvantaged children. We would be so grateful for any contribution as every donation, no matter what the size, makes a real difference. Thank you.
