Get closer to the Museum’s Collections with our free handling session.
14:00 | Free with Museum admission
Guided by the expertise of our staff, enjoy an opportunity to hold a selection of objects mirroring those items in the Museum’s Collections. The Museum’s handling collection has been developed by our Visitor Engagement team over the past year. Providing visitors with an opportunity to touch and study a selection of objects similar to those on display. Containing over 30 objects, amongst the collection are items similar to the Foundling Hospital tokens – the small, humble objects which often leave the greatest impression on our visitors. Explore the story of the Foundling Hospital in more depth in this free session in the Picture Gallery.
Drop in any time between 14:00 – 16:00, where a Museum volunteer will be on hand to guide you through the collection and answer questions. Suitable for visually impaired visitors and children aged 3+.
The handling collection is also available on request. For further information please contact our Visitor Engagement Manager, Vincent Wright, on firstname.lastname@example.org.
