Violinist Hannah Laurens  and pianist Tom McCoy perform a programme of works inspired by children

Free with Museum admission

Children, and the world of childhood, have inspired many celebrated pieces of music. This programme features works composed for young violinists, including Dvořák’s charmingly lyrical Sonatina, composed for two of his own children, and Kabalevsky’s flamboyant Violin Concerto, dedicated to the children of the former Soviet Union.

Hannah Laurens is a prize-winning violinist who studied at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She is accompanied by Tom McCoy, who read music at University of Bristol, followed by an MMus at Royal Holloway, University of London.
