Josienne Clarke and Kit Downes fuse contemporary and traditional music with modern jazz. Clarke is a BBC Folk Award-winning singer, known for her haunting vocals, whereas Downes is a Mercury Prize-nominated jazz pianist, known for his technical mastery. Together they create a beautiful, eclectic sound, performing songs from their debut EP, Such a Sky. They are joined by Jeff Warner, one of the great interpreters of North American traditional music, playing songs rich in local history and place, from the lumber camps, fishing villages and mountain tops of nineteenth-century America.

Folk at the Foundling brings traditional music from the British Isles and beyond to the unique surroundings of the Foundling Museum, showcasing folk legends and breakthrough artists in our beautiful and intimate Picture Gallery.

The Foundling Museum is a registered charity and all income from ticket sales supports our work.
