In summer 2015, a group of young people aged 15-17 took part in 1A Arts’ youth filmmaking project in partnership with the Museum.

Attending scriptwriting, filmmaking and editing workshops with professional filmmakers, the group created a short documentary on the theme of identity, inspired by the Foundling Hospital story and Museum’s displays. The final film was premiered at Warner Brothers and later shown at Tate Britain as part of Loud Tate: i.d, an annual art, music and performance festival for young people aged 15-25. Part of Holborn Community Association, 1A Arts is a community arts provider delivering activities primarily for children and young people, but with ambitions to work with a much broader range of people. IA Arts value a participatory approach to community arts production and seek to include as wide a range of beneficiaries as possible.
