Hear from experts on the themes of combat stress and its effects.

18:30 | £5, £3 concessions and Foundling Friends

Join this discussion exploring combat stress as part of our focus on the extraordinary life of George King in Fighting Talk. Hear from artist and photographer Mark Neville, who created Battle Against Stigma following his experience as a war artist in Afghanistan and Dr Chris Sandal-Wilson, University of Exeter, a historian researching trauma and PTSD and its connection with travel and migration.

British artist Mark Neville works at the intersection of art and documentary, investigating the social function of photography. His work has consistently looked to subvert the traditional role of social documentary practice. Often working with closely knit communities, in a collaborative process intended to be of direct, practical benefit to the subject, his photographic projects to date have frequently made the towns he portrays the primary audience for the work.
