Enjoy a piano recital by Yoon Seok Shin. The word ‘Foundling’ is applied to babies that have been abandoned by their parents and discovered and cared for by others. Yoon felt J. S. Bach was a must for this programme at the Museum, since he was an orphan himself. Bach fathered 20 children over his lifetime and was a great father. He was a father musically too, in terms of his influence on following generations. Chopin and Liszt were greatly influenced by Mozart, Schubert and Bach, with compositional techniques all derived from their predecessors.
