Programme to be announced
Spanish trombonist Pau Hernández is currently enrolled in a Master of Performance course at the Royal College of Music after having obtained a Bachelor of Music degree with honours in July 2023 at the same institution, thanks to the support of the ABRSM EU Postgraduate Scholarship and the Dolly Knowles Charitable Trust Award. He has performed for different orchestras around the UK such as the Ulster Orchestra (where he was also a trialist) or the London Sinfonietta, while keeping an interest in other musical settings: he was awarded the 2nd Prize in the Sackbut Competition of the British Trombone Society in 2022 and this season he will take part in the London Musical Theatre Orchestra Development Scheme. Aside from his career as a trombonist, Pau has written reviews for the ENO as part of their Response Scheme and used to run a podcast about classical music that attracted thousands of monthly listeners from many Spanish-speaking countries.
